Community Reach

In almost every community you will find people with needs. We believe it’s possible to bring them out of poverty by simple acts of love.

Stories of children who go to bed hungry is an everyday tale within rural communities, the pain that parents go through as they watch their children cry to bed hungry cannot be penned.

“I can go hungry for days and not bother”; one lady told me, tears welling up her eyes, as she collected a food parcel from the food bank, “but seeing my children go without food these two days, it literally killed me”.

While some throw away food and spend money on frivolities, many go without food. It’s for this reason that we encourage and solicit for food items for members of the community.

For someone who cannot afford a decent meal or to send their children to school, the added burden of not being able to get clean water can be torturous, they have to trek miles to streams to fetch water that is not fit for human consumption, as the only alternative which is buying water is way out of their league.

For such persons, a borehole around their neighborhood brings such joy that can light up a community.

Training and creating the opportunities for the members of the community to learn soft and hard skills that make them better and useful members of society.  Knowing they have the capacity and resource to cater for their families and contribute to the transformation of their communities brings untold joy to their faces. It also provides an avenue to explore in details and greater understanding the place of work and business in Gods kingdom agenda.

Many people within communities cannot afford to go to hospitals due to poverty, therefore they resort to self-help and quack practitioners or drug stores, and with shortages or non-availability of health centers within these communities, sad narratives of unwarranted death of children, the elderly and loved ones become common place.

We find that medical outreach by Christian medical personnel volunteering their expertise and time not only helps in addressing this important need but helps reduce unwarranted deaths in communities.

Communal living is becoming a thing of the past as a result of the changing times. Still everyone desires to be loved and cared for. When we  Visit and engage, encourage and pray with people within the community it demonstrates to them that someone  cares and it opens them up to also care for others.
